  • Cambodia: Dreams of rice paddies and lost temples

It was a dream I had nurtured for a long time: Cambodia, a land of mysteries and temples lost in the jungle. Finally, the dream became reality.

As soon as I landed in Phnom Penh, the capital, I was overwhelmed by a wave of colors, scents and sounds. Tuk-tuks whizzed by like mad shrapnel, street vendors offered culinary oddities, and the din of traffic was deafening. It was chaos, but a chaos that I liked, that gave me energy.

The first stop was the Tuol Sleng neighborhood, home to the S-21 prison, a place of torture and injustice during the Khmer Rouge regime. A touching experience that made me reflect on human cruelty but also on the power of rebirth from the ashes.

Then, off to Angkor Wat, the temple that had made me dream since childhood. Its majestic ruins towered out of the jungle like a sleeping giant. I lost myself among its intricate carvings, delicate bas-reliefs, and its atmosphere of infinite peace.

Not just temples-Cambodia is also rice paddies as far as the eye can see, floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake, and the infectious smiles of children. I sailed on colorful little boats, tasted exotic food and learned to cook Khmer curry.

A trip that enriched me inside and out. An experience I will never forget.

  • Vietnam, a backpacker’s adventure

Hello everyone!!! I am just back from an amazing trip to Vietnam, backpacking and so much desire for adventure. I want to tell you about my experiences in this wonderful country.

My first stop was Hanoi, the capital city. A chaotic and fascinating city at the same time. The traffic is a nightmare, with scooters whizzing in all directions, but the atmosphere is really unique. I visited the Temple of Literature, a place of peace and spirituality, and Hoan Kiem Lake, the beating heart of the city.

From Hanoi I moved on to Ha Long Bay, a true natural wonder. I took a boat ride among the limestone islets emerging from the sea, creating a breathtaking landscape. The sunset over the bay was one of the most exciting moments of my trip.

After Ha Long Bay, I visited Hoi An, a picturesque town with pastel-colored wooden houses and red lanterns that light up the streets at night. I got lost in its alleys, shopped at local markets and sampled delicious Vietnamese food.

The last stop on my trip was Sapa, a mountainous region famous for its terraced rice fields. The scenery is truly spectacular: deep green terraces climbing the mountains. I trekked among the rice paddies and met some local tribes, with their traditional costumes and thousand-year-old culture.

    An unforgettable trip

Vietnam is a country that has left its mark on my heart. I met amazing people, saw breathtaking landscapes, and tasted amazing cuisine. Traveling alone was a fantastic experience that allowed me to experience Vietnam authentically and independently.
